Coaching with the help of Horses

Equine Assisted Coaching

The horse restores your strength

Equine Assisted Coaching, or coaching with the help of horses, is an experiential and solution-oriented method of coaching. Through activities you perform together with the horses (with both feet on the ground), patterns become clear and you gain insight into the impact your actions have on yourself and others. The horses assist in this by providing you with direct feedback, as they react to everything that is present and happening at that moment. In doing so, they hold up a mirror to you, allowing you to get to the core of the matter very quickly. With Equine Assisted Coaching, it does not matter whether you have experience with horses, or even if you are afraid of them. Because you can get to know the horses in peace and at your own pace, any potential tension quickly dissipates.

Equine Assisted Teamcoaching

You want motivated employees who enjoy coming to work!

Every employer also knows that, unfortunately, this is not always a given. Many employees struggle with stress-related complaints, and even a quarter of long-term absenteeism is related to stress in their private or work lives.

Strengthen your team with horses

Within a team or group, everyone quickly assumes a fixed role. One person leads, the other follows. There are often introverted as well as extroverted people present. Interpersonal relationships come to light during a team session. The horses ensure the right connection within the team in this process.

Employee health is the greatest asset within your organization!

Challenge

Getting 'stuck' in work can have various causes. This may relate to the home situation and/or the cause may lie within the work environment. Sometimes there is a conflict, but a lack of challenge or not being in quite the right position can also play a role. When an employee gets stuck in their work, Equine Assisted Coaching can be a good way to get out of it.

Method

With the help of the horse's mirroring ability and targeted exercises, we get to the core together with the team. Participants learn to recognize and release tension, and also how to continue this within the work environment.

We look together at how things can be improved, in a safe context where attention is paid to every individual within the team.

Individual coaching question

It may happen that a specific individual coaching question emerges during a team session. There is always room to explore this further together during a follow-up session.

Equine Assisted child and teenager coaching

Children and teenagers are very welcome to be coached with the help of the horses.

The coach ensures a safe learning environment. If necessary, the coach assists with the transfer of the experience to daily life, and parents, teachers, or others are involved in the coaching process in consultation with the child.

The child learns:

  • Expressing oneself freely in an emotionally safe environment. This is created through the experiential approach and the presence of the animal.
  • To deal with experiences from daily life within his or her capabilities and in a manner appropriate to the child.
  • to develop social self-reliance.
  • To discover one's own capabilities and needs through learning experiences and positive reinforcement from the coach.
  • To develop self-insight and self-confidence.

        Creative Coaching

"I've never done it before, so I think I can do it!"

Sometimes it is difficult to find the right words for things going on deep inside. It can then help to express this in a 'creative way'. Think, for example, of working with clay, where you use the material to give space to certain feelings, or we might get to work with bronze or paint. We work under the motto: "anything goes, nothing is mandatory". Step by step, I help you find your own path with the help of creativity.

Walking coaching

You gain the best insights in nature.

Would you find it much nicer to have a conversation outdoors than indoors between four walls? And could you use some exercise? Then walking coaching is right for you!

Walking coaching is an effective form of coaching in which nature plays an important role. Walking gets you moving and is possible for almost everyone, regardless of age or fitness level. The fresh outdoor air always perks you up and gives you the feeling that you can take on the world again. Walking relaxes you and allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a while.

Another added benefit of walking is that you literally get the space to tell your story at a pace that suits you. Through movement, the stories surface naturally. You walk side by side, so you don't have to look each other in the eye every time, and silence is a welcome moment to collect yourself.

Contextual Therapy ~ Adding a Language

Een Taal Erbij was developed based on, among other things, the theoretical framework of I. Boszormenyi-Nagy, a Hungarian-American psychiatrist and family therapist, which is based on a contextual view of human nature: the human being in relation to themselves and others, in the here and now and in their history.

Een Taal Erbij visualizes these relationships while simultaneously providing overview and insight. From a systemic perspective, the client's problem is depicted using Duplo figures and other materials, and the inner dialogue is initiated.

Together we look at the images set up, and you can offer acknowledgment. This involves a combination of feeling and closeness, and at the same time distance and the ability to gain an overview.
